Plas Bach (Little Palace), in our Box Garden, is a very special, private and romantic place for two people to stay on a self-catering basis. It is not overlooked by our house.

Constructed of traditional black tin, Plas Bach has sheep's wool insulation, triple glazed, argon-filled, wooden windows, sliding glass doors, glass insulation beneath the limecrete floor and hemp plaster on the walls and ceiling. Eco paints have been used throughout.

The light interior is comfortable and stylish with much attention to detail. The living space is open plan and there is a separate, spacious wet room with shower. Water is heated by the smart woodstove and there is also a solar panel with immersion back up. Because Plas Bach is so well insulated, it heats up quickly and is very cosy in winter. Logs and kindling are provided without extra charge.

Plas Bach is well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen utensils; some basic foodstuffs, including tea and coffee and a welcome pack with bread, milk etc are also supplied. There is free WiFi access, a 22" flat screen TV with DVD player and a Vita radio and iPod dock. The new bed, with very comfortable mattress, has 100% cotton seersucker bed linen, a down duvet and down pillows. Thick towels and waffle dressing gowns are also supplied. Outside, the covered, south facing veranda is a lovely place to sit and relax; the secluded decking at the side overlooks a rushing stream and there is also a spacious private gravelled courtyard with a screened off parking area and lockable bike shed.

Plas Bach is not suitable for children and we do not accept pets.
